Seminar Presentation:
"Research and Development: Research Contribution towards the Development of Ghana"

 SEMINAR SYNOPSIS:

The 1st AGGOSS Seminar Presentation is a small invitational conference designed to facilitate the exposure to and discussion of cutting edge research and academic writings in developmental issues concerning Ghana.

We invite both theoretical and empirical papers on topics relating to developmental challeneges facing Ghana, and encourage the participation of research in all fields whose current research focuses on Ghana and development. We will aim for a mix of scholars - both young and experienced scholars, established and new to the field. Papers will be chosen primarily for their originality, innovativeness, and rigor. We would like to devote a part of the conference to topics in science and technology, social sciences and education, services and managmenet, so submissions in those areas are especially encouraged.

Interested researchers  and students should submit an abstract (maximum of 400 words) by May 12th, 2008, in an electronic format (Words document or PDF preferred) to "Emmanuel Plas Otwe" <epotwe@yahoo.com>.  (please include “1st AGGOSS Seminar Presentation 2008 ” in subject line).

Those invited to participate in the conference will be notified
 

Annual Dinner Party

Date: Saturday, 21st June 2008
Venue: London
Location : The Ghana High Commission Forecourt
Time: 6pm till you drop
Dress Code: Formal Evening Dress
 
We wish to invite all AGGOSS Members to the Ist Annual Dinner Party. This Dinner Party will follow the Seminar Presentation on the evening of the 21st June, 2008. 
The main aim of the Dinner Party is to present an opportunity for members to engage in a social and academic networking with other members while enjoying themselves.  
 
The dinner party will also create a platform for members to interact and know each other whilst discusssing matters of common interest. 
Please make a date to be part of this wonderful event.
We look forward to seeing you all.
 
Do not forget to confirm attendance to the Dinner Party. Deadline for the confirmation of Attendance is Friday, the 9th of May, 2008.
